The Labor-Management Act of 1947 was enacted in the United States to replace the Wagner Act of 1935. It was named after its proposers, RA Taft and FA Hartley. It significantly restricted basic labor rights, such as establishing unfair labor practices for labor unions, prohibiting strikes for public servants and employees of government corporations, establishing an emergency adjustment system, prohibiting closed shops, and requiring union officials to swear that they were not communists or subversives. → Related items Taft Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
