Tana [Lake] - Tana
Also known as Lake Tsana. The largest lake in Ethiopia, located in the northern part of the plateau. Area: 2156 km2 . The lake surface is 1788 m above sea level, and the maximum depth is 15 m. It is the source of the Blue Nile. It was explored by Portuguese missionaries in the 16th and 17th centuries.
