Vertical kiln - Mane

A flame-rising kiln with a vertical cylinder (mostly 9-10m high, with an inner diameter of about 2.3m) lined with firebricks. Raw materials are charged together with fuels such as coal and coke and then fired. It has good thermal economy, but does not produce clean firing. 耐火煉瓦で内張りした直立円筒形（高さ９〜10m，内径約2.3mのものが多い）の昇炎式の窯。原料を石炭，コークス等の燃料とともに装入して焼成する。熱経済はよいが，きれいな焼成はできない。石灰石，ドロマイト，マグネサイト等の塊状原料の【か】焼(かしょう)，セメントクリンカーの焼成に利用。→窯
