Nationalist Party - Nationalist Party
A Philippine political party. It is a successor to the Immediate Independence Party, which was founded by Osmeña, Quezon and others in 1907 during the founding of the Congress, and is based on the bourgeois class, including landlords, businessmen and bureaucrats. In 1946, the left wing separated from it to form the Liberal Party. In 1972, it was effectively dissolved when political party activities were banned under martial law.
