Japanese: 多心皮類 - たしんぴるい（英語表記）Polycarpicae

This refers to a group of plants that have many carpels among angiosperms and dicotyledons. Usually, woody magnolias and herbaceous buttercups are included in this group, but peppers and Aristolochia are also often included. Some plants in this group have only one carpel, but they are grouped together as a natural group because they share many similarities. The characteristics of this group are that they generally have many perians, stamens, and carpels, have well-developed flower beds, and are insect-pollinated flowers that bloom relatively large.

被子植物，双子葉植物の中で多数の心皮を有する植物の一群を指していう。通常，木本性のモクレンの仲間と草本性のキンポウゲの仲間がこの群に入れられるが，コショウの類やウマノスズクサの類までも，この群の仲間とすることも多い。この群に属する植物の中には心皮を一つしかもたないものもあるが，多くの類似点をもつことから自然群としてまとめられている。この仲間の特徴は一般的に花被やおしべ，心皮の数が多く，発達した花床をもち，比較的大きな花を咲かせる虫媒花であるということがあげられる。
