Japanese: 択里志 - たくりし

A geography book written by Yi Jung-hwan, a scholar of practical science in the late Yi Dynasty of Korea. Published in 1714. A manuscript, not divided into volumes. The name "Jokri-ji" was given to it by later generations, and it has many other names, such as "Eight Regions Bokgyeoji," "Eight Regions Journal," and "Boso-ji Mountains and Waters." With the goal of selecting the most suitable place to live within the country, it records the topography, climate, industry and transportation conditions, human temperament, scenic places, and historical events of the eight provinces of Korea. It reflects the knowledge Yi Jung-hwan gained during his 30 years of wandering, and was widely read by later generations. [Miyajima Hiroshi]

朝鮮，李朝後期の実学者李重煥が著した地誌。1714年成立。写本，不分巻。《択里志》という名称は後世の人が付けたもので，《八域卜居志》《八域志》《博綜誌山水録》など異名が多い。国内で居住に適した所を選択するという目的から，朝鮮8道の地形や気候，産業･交通の状況，人間の気質，名勝，各地に伝わる故事等が記載されている。李重煥の30年にわたる放浪生活で得た知識が反映されており，後世にも広く読まれた。【宮嶋博史】
