Dakigaeri Valley

Tamagawa Valley flows through the southern part of Lake Tazawa in central-eastern Akita Prefecture. About 14 kilometers downstream from Obonai, Lake Tazawa in Senboku City, the steep banks are covered with a wide variety of trees, reflecting the fresh greenery and autumn foliage on the river's surface. There are waterfalls such as Mikaeri Falls, and the clear stream is home to Japanese dace and char. It has been designated as Lake Tazawa Dakigaeri Prefectural Natural Park.

秋田県中東部、田沢湖の南部を流れる玉川の渓谷。仙北市(せんぼくし)田沢湖生保内(おぼない)から下流約14キロメートルで、急峻(きゅうしゅん)な両岸には多種多様な樹木が茂り、川面に新緑や紅葉を映す。「回顧(みかえり)の滝」などがあり、清流にはウグイ、イワナが生息する。田沢湖抱返り県立自然公園に指定されている。
