A state on the Atlantic coast in the northeastern United States. Abbreviated as Del. or DE. A long, narrow state that occupies the coastal plain on the west shore of Delaware Bay, the entire state is flat. Industrialization is progressing, and it is the center of the chemical industry, including DuPont de Nemours, and various industries such as food processing and textiles have developed.
