A Yamada school koto performer. (1) First Generation (1868-1939, Meiji 1-Showa 14). His real name was Gentaro. He became blind at age 4 and studied Nagauta at age 7. At age 18, he became a disciple of Yamataki Matsushige II (later renamed Kushida Eisei). The following year, he took the name Eisei, but after his teacher's death he took the name Eisei through Kiyoaki. In 1917, he formed the Koto Gakusei-kai with Hagioka Shoin the first and Koshino Eisei, and devoted himself to the development of Yamada school koto music. When the Yamada school koto music association was founded in 1948, he became its vice-president, and in 1902 he formed the Matsushige-kai, a branch of the school. He was an excellent performer. 山田流箏曲家。(1)初世(1868‐1939∥明治1‐昭和14) 本名源太郎。4歳で失明後,7歳で長唄を修業。18歳から2世山多喜松調(のちに櫛田栄清と改名)に入門。翌年栄松を名のるが,清章を経て,師の没後栄清を襲名。1917年初世萩岡松韻,越野栄松らと箏曲楽成会を結成し,山田流箏曲の発展に尽くす。23年山田流箏曲協会設立とともに副会長就任,37年に一門の松調会を結成。すぐれた演奏家であった。(2)2世(1904‐89∥明治37‐平成1) 初世の長女。
