Takanoyu [Hot spring] - Takanoyu

Japanese: 鷹ノ湯[温泉] - たかのゆ

This hot spring is located in Ogachi Town, Ogachi County, in southern Akita Prefecture. Along with Yunotai Hot Spring and Inazumi Hot Spring, it forms the Akinomiya Onsenkyo hot spring resort along the Yakunai River, a tributary of the Omono River. It is one of the secluded hot springs scattered throughout the valley, and its spring quality is saline, with a temperature of 79°C. Due to the large amount of water, it also has a hot waterfall and steam bath facilities. With the opening of the Senshu Sun Line, it has become connected to Naruko Onsenkyo in Miyagi Prefecture, and has become a popular tourist destination. 秋田県南部，雄勝（おがち）郡雄勝町にある温泉。雄物川の支流役内（やくない）川に沿って湯ノ岱（ゆのたい）温泉，稲住温泉などとともに秋ノ宮温泉郷をつくる。渓谷の中に点在するひなびた温泉の一つで，泉質は食塩泉，泉温79℃で，湯量が多いため湯滝や蒸しぶろの設備もある。仙秋サンラインの開通によって宮城県の鳴子温泉郷と通じ，行楽客が多くなった。奥羽本線横堀駅から約14km，バスで50分。【谷沢明】
