Takanoyu [Hot spring] - Takanoyu

Japanese: 鷹ノ湯[温泉] - たかのゆ
Takanoyu [Hot spring] - Takanoyu
This hot spring is located in Ogachi Town, Ogachi County, in southern Akita Prefecture. Along with Yunotai Hot Spring and Inazumi Hot Spring, it forms the Akinomiya Onsenkyo hot spring resort along the Yakunai River, a tributary of the Omono River. It is one of the secluded hot springs scattered throughout the valley, and its spring quality is saline, with a temperature of 79°C. Due to the large amount of water, it also has a hot waterfall and steam bath facilities. With the opening of the Senshu Sun Line, it has become connected to Naruko Onsenkyo in Miyagi Prefecture, and has become a popular tourist destination. It is about 14km from Yokobori Station on the Ou Main Line, and a 50-minute bus ride away. [Tanizawa Akira]
