Takakura family
(1) A descendant of the Northern branch of the Fujiwara clan. Descendants of Gon Chunagon Nagayoshi (802-856), son of Kan'in Sadaijin Fuyutsugu. The founder of the family was Nagasue (1338-92), a councilor during the Nanboku-cho period. The family is a half-family, old family. The highest rank of the family was Gon Dainagon. The founder Nagasue was well versed in court etiquette and customs, and since then the family has made court etiquette and customs its business, especially as a family of costumes, in charge of the preparation of clothing and patterns, making it a close relative of the Yamashina family. In terms of political history, Nagahide (1728-99), who became a nun after being involved in the Horeki Incident in the late Edo period, and Nagasuke (1838-68), who became the governor-general of the Hokuriku region and the governor-general of the Aizu expedition during the Meiji Restoration, and was killed in battle in Aizu, are well known.
