A mountain range on the border between Germany and the Czech Republic. In Czech, it is called Kršné Hory. It is a 130 km long, 800-900 m high plateau made of gneiss, mica schist, and granite. The highest peaks are Fichtelberg (1214 m) and Klínovec (1244 m) on the Czech side. In the Middle Ages, it prospered mainly from silver mining, and is rich in copper, zinc, uranium, cobalt, and other minerals. It is a production center for embroidery, woodworking, toys, musical instruments, etc.

ドイツとチェコの境の山脈。チェコ語ではクルシュネーホリ。延長130km，800〜900mの高原状地形で，片麻岩，雲母片岩，花コウ岩からなる。フィヒテルベルク（1214m）とチェコ側のクリーノベツ（1244m）が最高峰。中世には銀を中心とする鉱山で繁栄，銅，亜鉛，ウラン，コバルトなどの鉱産が豊か。刺繍(ししゅう)，木工，玩具，楽器などの生産地。
