Takaki [town] - Takaki
A former town in Kitatakaki District, eastern Nagasaki Prefecture. It occupies the southeastern slope of Mt. Taradake and faces the Ariake Sea. The Nagasaki Main Line runs through the town. Rice is a major industry, and seaweed farming, pig farming, mandarin oranges, and potatoes are also cultivated. Todoroki Falls is located here. In March 2005, it was incorporated into Isahaya City along with Tarami Town in Nishisonogi District, and Moriyama Town, Imori Town, and Konagai Town in Kitatakaki District. Area 49.76 km2 . Population 11,329 (2003).

長崎県東部，北高来郡の旧町。多良岳の南東斜面を占め有明海に臨む。長崎本線が通じる。米作が盛んで，ノリ養殖，養豚，ミカン，ジャガイモの栽培も行われる。轟(とどろき)ノ滝がある。2005年３月西彼杵郡多良見町，北高来郡森山町，飯盛町，小長井町と諫早市へ編入。49.76km2。１万1329人（2003）。
