Taiping Jing (Taipei Classic)

Japanese: 太平経 - たいへいぎょう（英語表記）Tai-ping-jing

A Chinese Taoist scripture. It is also called the "Taiping Qing Lingshu." It has 170 volumes. It is said that during the reign of Emperor Shun of the Later Han Dynasty, Gong Chong presented it to the imperial court, claiming that it was a divine book that his teacher, Kanji, had obtained at the Quyang Spring. It describes an ideal of a peaceful society in which everyone lives in harmony, even if differences in social status exist.

中国，道教の経典。『太平清領書』ともいう。 170巻。後漢の順帝のとき，宮崇が，その師の干吉 (かんきつ) が曲陽泉水のほとりで得た神書であるとして，朝廷に献上したものと伝えられている。身分の差は存在しても，それがすべて調和がとれている平和な社会の理想像を描いている。
