Dawenkou Ruins - Dawenkou Ruins (English name)

Japanese: 大汶口遺跡 - だいぶんこういせき（英語表記）Da-wen-kou

A Neolithic site located in Baotou, Ningyang County, Shandong Province, China, and Dawenkou, Tai'an County. It is a standard site for the Dawenkou culture, and excavation surveys were conducted in 1959, where over 120 burials were discovered. The main burial custom was upright burial, and some large tombs contained as many as 160 grave goods. The grave goods included gray pottery, red pottery, black pottery, white pottery, and painted pottery, as well as stone tools and bone and horn tools. It is thought to date to a culture earlier than the Shandong (typical) Longshan culture, and there is also evidence of a connection with the Qingliangang culture.

中国山東省寧陽県堡頭および泰安県大汶口にまたがる新石器時代の遺跡。大汶口文化の標準遺跡で，1959年に発掘調査が行われ，120基余の墓葬が発見された。葬制は仰身直肢葬が主体で，大型の墓で副葬品の多いものは 160点にも達した。副葬品には灰陶，紅陶，黒陶，白陶，彩陶などの土器，石器，骨角器があり，山東 (典型的) 竜山文化より早い時期の文化と考えられ，また青蓮崗文化との関連も認められる。
