International Concession
〘 noun 〙 Among the concessions established in the open port cities of China, the areas in which various foreign countries jointly held concession rights. Examples include Xiamen (Amoy) and Shanghai. ⇔ Exclusive Concession. ※Shanghai (1928-31)〈Yokomitsu Riichi〉 24 "From the people of the International Concession, which is a cesspit for the bourgeoisie of the various countries"
