A story, tale, or fable. A non-legal rabbinic text in the Talmud, or a non-legal commentary on the Bible. It includes moral reflections, sermons, excuses, and stories of Israel's past and future. It also includes the story of the Exodus from Egypt, recited on the night of Passover, and a commentary on the relevant passage of the Bible. It is also called a Haggadah with the definite article.
