This is a series of Buddhist books written in Japan. There are 161 books in total. In 1911 (Meiji 44), Takakusu Junjiro, Omura Seigai, and Mochizuki Shinko planned it, established the Buddhist Book Publishing Society, and published it between the following year and 1922 (Taisho 11) with Nanjo Bunyu as chairman. The collection is divided into 28 sections: Catalog, General Notes, Sutras, Avatamsaka, Lotus Sutra, Taimitsu, Shingon, Siddham, Pure Land, Yuzunembutsu, Jishu, Precepts, Sanron, Hosso, Inmyo, Kusha, Awakening of Faith, Zen, Events, Religious Debates, History, Bonin, Genealogy, Topography, Temple Records, Diaries, Words, and Miscellaneous. The collection contains a total of 953 books and 3,396 volumes. Other Buddhist books written in Japan are included in individual collections such as "Dengyo Daishi Zenshu" and "Kobo Daishi Zenshu," as well as "Taisho Shinshu Daizokyo" and "Nihon Daizokyo," but the contents of the collections that preceded these collections are omitted, and by using these collections together, they complement each other. Based on the results of modern philology, this collection has been collated with alternative texts, missing volumes have been added, and headnotes, sidenotes, red notation, punctuation marks, and reading marks have been added, making it a reliable collection. After its completion, it was repeatedly republished until the 1940s, and a separate volume, "Jukan Sho," a collection of images by Eju, is included. Recently, in 1973 (Showa 48), the Suzuki Academic Foundation published a new 100-volume set. In 1983, the Meisaku Fukyukai reprinted the original edition.
