The Industrial Museum was established in London the year after the first Universal Exhibition in 1851. This museum became the South Kensington Museum in 1857, and the science department separated from it became independent in 1909 to become the current Science Museum. The London Science Museum is still one of the world's leading science museums, boasting a high quality and quantity of collections along with its history, and many researchers consider the establishment of this museum to be the beginning of modern science museums. …
