Zuikin - Zuikin

A county-level city in the southeastern part of Jiangxi Province, China. In 1999, it became a provincial city directly under the control of the prefecture-level city of Ganzhou. It is located along the upper reaches of the Gong River, the eastern source of the Ganjiang River, and borders Fujian Province. It has a population of 693,700 (2014). During the Han dynasty, it was part of Wudu County, and during the Tang dynasty, the Ruijinkan (Gold Supervisor) was established there, and during the Southern Tang dynasty of the Five Dynasties, it was changed to a county. It was incorporated as a city in 1994. Legend has it that the place was named after the area where gold was struck. It is rich in forestry and mineral resources, and agricultural products include rice, sweet potatoes, soybeans, peanuts, and sugar cane. It is also known as a tobacco producing region, and leather pillows are famous as a handicraft product. From 1931 to 1934, it was the center of the Central Revolutionary Base of the Communist Party of China, and the government of the Chinese Soviet Republic was located here. Revolutionary historical sites such as the former residence of Mao Zedong are preserved here.

中国、江西(こうせい)省南東部の県級市。1999年省直轄市となり、贛州(かんしゅう)地級市に管轄を代行される。贛江の東源である貢水(こうすい)の上流部に沿い、福建(ふっけん)省境と接する。人口69万3700（2014）。漢代には雩都(うと)県に属する地で、唐代に瑞金監が置かれ、五代の南唐が県に改めた。1994年に市制施行。伝説では、金を掘り当てたので地名としたという。林産・鉱産資源に富み、農産物には米、サツマイモ、大豆、ラッカセイ、サトウキビなどがある。タバコの産地としても知られ、手工業製品では皮枕が有名である。1931年から1934年まで、中国共産党の中央革命根拠地の中心地となり、中華ソビエト共和国政府がここに置かれた。毛沢東(もうたくとう)の旧居などの革命史跡が保存されている。
