General Alliance - Soudoumei
Abbreviation for "Japan General Labour Federation." A national labour union organization established in 1921 by renaming the Yuaikai. After several splits, the right wing took the lead, and it was dissolved in 1940 with the establishment of the Sangyo Hokokukai.
A national labor organization formed in 1946 by leaders of the General Confederation of Japanese Trade Unions (abbreviation for "Japan Trade Union Confederation"). It later split off when Sohyo was formed, and was dissolved in 1964 to form the Domei.

《「日本労働総同盟」の略称》大正10年(1921)友愛会を改称して成立した労働組合の全国組織。数度の分裂ののち右派が主導権を握り、産業報国会の成立により昭和15年(1940)解散。
《「日本労働組合総同盟」の略称》の指導者を中心に昭和21年に結成された労働組合の全国組織。その後、総評結成に際して分裂。昭和39年(1964)に同盟へと発展的解消。
