Song and Yuan Dynasty Study Plan

Japanese: 宋元学案 - そうげんがくあん

A book that records the academic history of the Song and Yuan dynasties in China. It has 100 volumes in total. For each school of thought, there is a table that lists the teachers, friends, and disciples of the scholar in question, and illustrates the origins and development of the school. It is followed by a brief biography, excerpts from writings, and an appendix with anecdotes and later comments. It is a kind of biographical history of thought. The original work was written by Huang Zongxi in the late Ming Dynasty, but he died before it was completed, so his son Huang Baike continued to work on it, but it was still incomplete. It was taken over by Quan Wang of the Qing Dynasty, and was finally completed after being revised by Zongxi's great-grandson Huang Zhigui and others.

中国，宋･元時代の学術史を記した本。全100巻。1学案ごとに表を掲げ，当該の学者の師友門人を列挙し，学派の源流と展開を図示する。そのあと略伝，著述の抜粋とつづき，付録として逸話，後人の評をのせる。いわば列伝風の思想史。原著は明末の黄宗羲（こうそうぎ）であるが，未完のうちに没したため息子の黄百家が続修，しかしなお完成せず，清の全祖望が引きつぎ，宗羲の玄孫黄稚圭（こうちけい）らの校訂をへて初めて完成した。
