Zenrinkyokai - Good Neighborhood Association

Japanese: 善隣協会 - ぜんりんきょうかい

Founded in Tokyo in 1933 as an organization for promoting friendship with Mongolia. Led by Sasame Tsuneo and others, it was launched with the support of military and financial leaders such as Hayashi Senjuro and Yamamoto Jotaro. In addition to various research studies in Mongolia, it carried out a wide range of activities including medical care, livestock farming, and education. It later split into the Zenrin Kyokai in Tokyo and the Mongol Zenrin Kyokai in Zhangjiakou, and established separate Mongolian Research Institute, Northwestern Research Institute, and Islamic World Research Institute. In addition to books such as "Mongolian View," it also published periodicals such as "Mongol" (formerly "Zenrin Kyokai Research Weekly Report" and "Monthly Report"), "Mongol Studies," "Mongol Studies Report," and "Islamic World."

1933年，東京において対モンゴル友好工作機関として創設。笹目恒雄などが中心となり，林銑十郎，山本条太郎など軍部，財界の援助をうけて発足した。モンゴルでの各種調査研究のほか，医療，畜産，教育など広い活動を行った。のち東京の善隣協会と現地張家口の蒙古善隣協会に分かれ，別に蒙古研究所，西北研究所，回教圏攷究所などを設けた。《蒙古大観》など単行本のほか，《蒙古》(もと《善隣協会調査旬報》《同月報》)や《蒙古学》《蒙古学報》《回教圏》などの定期刊行物も発行した。
