In the same year, Sekisui House Sangyo was established with investments from Asahi Kasei Kogyo Co., Ltd. (now Asahi Kasei) and Sanwa Bank (now UFJ Bank). In 1963, the company changed its name to its current one. It is a leading comprehensive manufacturer of prefabricated housing. It has gained customer support through a direct sales system of in-house production and sales. Its strength is its strong sales force. It has expanded its business into condominiums and urban redevelopment. It also focuses on wooden houses. Head office in Osaka, factories in Shiga, Ibaraki, and other locations. Capital in 2011 was 186.5 billion yen, and sales for the period ending January 2011 were 1,488.3 billion yen.
