World Agricultural Census - World Agricultural Census (English name)

World Agricultural Census - World Agricultural Census (English name)
A census usually means a general, multi-item survey using questionnaires on all subjects, but the World Census of Agriculture is conducted every 10 years based on the International Convention on Economic Statistics (1927). The first agricultural survey conducted in Japan using the census method was a simultaneous farm survey in 1938, but it was not until Japan participated in the 1950 World Census of Agriculture, which was proposed by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to be conducted on a global scale, that it began to be conducted in earnest.
