A commentary from the early Edo period. Four or five volumes. Written by Keichu. Finished before 1692 ( Genroku 5 ). Published in 1802 ( Kyowa 2 ). Provides an overview of "The Tales of Ise," with annotations for each section. It offers a wealth of new insights into the theory of its creation, historical verification, and word definitions, and is considered a groundbreaking achievement in the history of research into the Tales of Ise. 江戸前期の注釈書。四巻または五巻。契沖著。元祿五年（一六九二）以前の成立。享和二年（一八〇二）刊。「伊勢物語」に関し概説し、各段ごとに注釈を加えたもの。成立論、史実考証、語釈などに豊富な新見が見られ、伊勢物語研究史上画期的な成果とされる。
