Religious Wars

...Armed conflict between Catholics and Protestants that took place in France from 1562 to 1598. In Japan, this civil war is called the "Huguenot Wars" because the Calvinists in France at the time were called Huguenots by Catholics, but in European history it is usually called the "Religious Wars". Along with the rebellion of the Beggars' Order (Goissen) in the Netherlands against Spain and the Thirty Years' War in Germany, this is one of the major religious wars that raged in early modern Europe, and is heavily influenced by the international religious conflict that began with the Protestant Reformation.
