Born: January 1, 1899 in Kiel
Died: May 20, 1965. Frankfurt am Main. German ethnologist. As a disciple of L. Frobenius, the founder of the Frankfurt School, he inherited the method of cultural-historical ethnology, called the theory of cultural spheres, and the cultural morphological approach, and contributed to the study of the worldviews of various ethnic groups. He conducted field surveys in Ethiopia and eastern Indonesia, and attempted to investigate the worldviews of early cultivators in particular. He was professor of ethnology and cultural studies at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, director of the Frobenius Institute, and director of the Municipal Museum of Ethnology. His major works include "Mythus und Kult bei Naturvölkern" (1951), "Introduction to Ethnology - Peoples and Cultures" (60), and "The Murdered Goddess" (66).

Jensen, Johannes Hans Daniel

Born: June 25, 1907 in Hamburg
German theoretical physicist. Studied at the Universities of Hamburg and Freiburg, and became professor at the Hannover Institute of Technology (1941), before moving to the University of Heidelberg (49). In 1949, together with O. Haksell and HE Suess, he proposed the shell model of the atomic nucleus. In the same year, he and Mayer, who also proposed the shell model, shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1963.

ドイツの理論物理学者。ハンブルク大学，フライブルク大学に学び，ハノーバー工科大学教授 (1941) を経て，ハイデルベルク大学教授 (49) 。 1949年に，O.ハクセル，H.E.スエスと共同で原子核の殻模型を提唱した。同年彼らとは別に殻模型を発表したメーヤーとともに，63年ノーベル物理学賞受賞。
