Human bones excavated in S'Hour Cave, one of the caves on Mount Carmel, 20 km south of the port of Haifa, Israel, by a joint British-American team between 1929 and 1934. The cave is a rock shelter site located 200 m from Tabun Cave, and at least ten human bones (five men, two women, and three children) were excavated from the sedimentary layers of the terrace. These bones date to the Würm Glacial Period, but are somewhat newer than the Tabun man, estimated to be approximately 30,000 years old, and belonged to the Levallois-Mousterian culture.
