Stomach X-ray examination

Japanese: 胃X線検査 - いエックスせんけんさ

Roentgenography is an X-ray examination to examine the stomach, from the esophageal entrance to the duodenum, for the presence or absence of lesions. Currently, the main methods used are the filling method, mucosal method, double contrast method, and compression method. By utilizing the advantages of these imaging methods and compensating for their disadvantages, the examination can clarify the presence or absence of lesions in the stomach as a whole, and if a lesion is present, the morphology of the lesion can be depicted in detail.
[Refilling method]
The stomach must be adequately distended, and 200 to 300 mL of barium sulfate (80 to 100%) is typically used as the contrast agent.

胃の食道入口部から十二指腸までの，主として胃の病変の有無を調べるX線検査roentgenography。現在おもに用いられているのは，充盈（じゆうえい）法，粘膜法，二重造影法および圧迫法である。これらの撮影法の利点を生かし欠点を補いながら胃の全体的な病変の有無を明らかにし，もし病変があればその病変形態を詳細に描出するわけである。
［充盈法］
　胃を十分に伸展させる必要があり，一般に造影剤は硫酸バリウム(80～100％)を200～300ml使用する。
