Zushi [city] - Sushi
A city in the northwest of the Miura Peninsula in Kanagawa Prefecture. It was incorporated as a city in 1954. It faces Kamakura City to the north, Hayama Town to the south, and Sagami Bay to the west, and is a tourist and health resort in the Shonan region blessed with a warm climate and beautiful scenery, as well as a beach. The Yokosuka Line was opened in the mid-Meiji period, and the Keihin Kyuko Zushi Line in the early Showa period. There are many villas and high-end homes, but in recent years it has developed as a residential satellite city of the Keihin area. Jinmu-ji Temple and Takatoriyama are located in the east. In 1982, plans to build housing for the US military on the former site of the US military munitions depot in Ikego were announced, and there was a continuing opposition movement, but in 1994 the city officially agreed to the construction of the housing, and in April 1996 the housing was partially completed. 17.28 km2 . 神奈川県三浦半島北西部の市。1954年市制。北は鎌倉市,南は葉山町,西は相模湾に面し,温暖な気候と風光に恵まれた湘南の観光・保養地,海水浴場となっている。明治中頃に横須賀線,昭和初期に京浜急行逗子線が開通した。別荘,高級住宅が多いが,近年は京浜の住宅衛星都市として発展。東部に神武寺,鷹取山がある。1982年,池子の米軍弾薬庫跡地への米軍用住宅の建設計画が発表され,反対運動が続いていたが,1994年市が住宅建設を受け入れることで正式和解し,1996年4月住宅が部分的に完成した。17.28km2。5万8302人(2010)。
