Weng Juan

Japanese: 翁巻 - おうかん（英語表記）Weng Juan

[Born] Before 1183
[Died] A poet of the Southern Song Dynasty in China after 1211. Born in Yongjia (Zhejiang Province). Style name: Zhuogu, Lingshu. He lived in the countryside all his life, but in his later years he lived in his hometown. He studied under his fellow townsman Ye Shi, and modeled his poems on the austere poetry of the mid- and late-Tang Dynasty, writing many poems that sing of the small details of nature. He is one of the "Four Spirits of Yongjia." His collection of poems is "Ihekiken Collection."

中国，南宋の詩人。永嘉 (浙江省) の人。字，続古，霊舒。生涯野にあり，晩年は故郷に住んだ。同郷の葉適 (しょうてき) に学び，中晩唐の枯淡な詩を範として，小さな自然をうたった作が多い。「永嘉四霊」の一人。詩集『葦碧軒 (いへきけん) 集』。
