Passover - Passover Festival

A Jewish holiday. Passover in English. It is a week from the night of the 14th day of the Jewish month Nisan. It commemorates the exodus of the Jewish people from slavery to Egypt. It is named after the story that when God killed the firstborn in Egypt, only the Jewish houses that had smeared the blood of a lamb on their doors were passed over. ユダヤ教の祭日の一つ。英語でPassover。ユダヤ暦ニサン月14日の夜から１週間。奴隷状態にあったユダヤ民族のエジプト脱出を記念する。神がエジプト中の初子を殺したとき，仔羊の血を門口に塗ったユダヤ人の家だけは過ぎ越したという故事にちなむ。初日に〈セデル〉という正餐をとる。
