French novelist. He worked as an engineer, wrote novels, poems, and plays, and was also known as a jazz trumpeter. His representative work is Les Bubbles du Jours (1947), which beautifully balances anger at the absurdity of life with unbridled fantasy, and is his style. He also wrote a work in the style of American popular novels, Spit on the Grave (1946), under the pen name Vernon Sullivan. → Related article Denisov Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
