A literary magazine. First published in March 1936 (Showa 11), it ceased publication in January 1938. It had a total of 26 issues, including two special issues. Published by Jinmin Bunkosha. The colophon states that the editor and publisher was Honjo Mutsuo, but in reality it was presided over by Takeda Rintaro. It argued for the development of realism with a focus on the "spirit of prose" in opposition to the current of fascism after the collapse of proletarian literature, and especially in the literary world, the Japanese nationalistic trend of the Bungei Konwakai and the Japanese Romantic School, but after the war it was seen, together with the Japanese Romantic School, as "two branches from the same tree of conversion" (Takami Jun).
