Cardiac output - Shinhakushutsuryo

Cardiac output - Shinhakushutsuryo
The amount of blood the heart pumps with each beat (contraction) is called the stroke volume.
The stroke volume multiplied by the heart rate (number of beats) per minute is called the cardiac output per minute, and when people simply say cardiac output, they are usually referring to this cardiac output per minute.
This cardiac output converted per body surface area is called the stroke volume coefficient, which is approximately 4 liters per minute.
