A pillar erected in the center under the floor of the main hall of Ise Shrine. It is also called the Ikibashira, Ame-no-myobashira, or Ame-no-myobashira. It has been regarded as sacred since ancient times, and only certain people are engaged in transporting and erecting it, and it is one of the sacred trees (himorogis). 伊勢神宮の正殿の床下の中央に立てられた柱。忌柱,天御柱,天御量柱ともいう。神路山から料木をとるのに木本祭 (このもとさい) ,奉建するのに心御柱祭を行い,特定の者だけが運搬,奉建に従事するなど,古来神聖視されている。神籬 (ひもろぎ) の一つ。
