Sinbad
A wealthy merchant from Baghdad who appears in the Tales of the Thousand and One Nights. He went on seven voyages and was called "Sinbad the Sailor." He would return home and tell stories of his adventures. One of those adventures was when he was carried away by a roc and discovered the Valley of Diamonds.
