An old town in Ibo County in the southwest of Hyogo Prefecture. Occupying the midstream of the Ibo River, the central settlement has long been a key transportation hub connecting Sanyo and Sanin, and is served by the Kishin Line. The food industry is thriving, focusing on the traditional local industry of hand-pulled somen noodles. At Hasasaki along the river, you can see the columnar jointed Byobuiwa (a natural monument). In October 2005, the town merged with Tatsuno City, Ibogawa Town in Ibo County, and Mitsu Town to become Tatsuno City. ^{99.55 km2} . Population 17,076 (2003).

Shingu [town] [Shingu]

A town in Kasuya County in northern Fukuoka Prefecture facing the Genkai Sea. Horticulture, including mandarin oranges and vegetables, and dried fish production are thriving, but in recent years the influx of factories has been noticeable, and the town has become a residential area as an extension of Fukuoka City. The coast is made up of sand dunes and is included in Genkai Quasi-National Park. There is a primeval camphor forest on Mt. Tachibana (a special natural monument). The town is served by the Kagoshima Main Line and the Nishitetsu Kaizuka Line. Area: ^{18.93 km2} . Population: 24,679 (2010).

兵庫県南西部，揖保(いぼ)郡の旧町。揖保川中流域を占め，中心集落は山陽と山陰を結ぶ古くからの交通要地で，姫新(きしん)線が通じる。伝統地場産業である手延そうめんを中心とした食品産業が盛ん。川沿いの觜崎(はしさき)には柱状節理の屏風岩（天然記念物）がある。2005年10月，龍野市，揖保郡揖保川町，御津町と合併し市制，たつの市となる。99.55km²。１万7076人（2003）。

福岡県北部，玄界灘に臨む粕屋郡の町。ミカン，野菜などの園芸農業や乾魚製造が盛んであるが，近年は工場の進出が目立ち，福岡市の延長として住宅地化が著しい。海岸は砂丘で，玄海国定公園に含まれる。立花山クスノキ原始林（特別天然記念物）がある。鹿児島本線，西鉄貝塚線が通じる。18.93km²。２万4679人（2010）。
