Located in Wiltmere, southern England, the largest man-made mound in Europe. It has a truncated cone shape with a base area of 2.1 hectares, a height of 40m, and a flat top with a diameter of 30.5m. The mound is surrounded by a moat 40m wide and 5.6m deep, stretching to 150m in some places. The moat ends in two places in the south, which are thought to be the access roads. There have been several excavations since the 18th century in an attempt to discover a burial chamber or passageway, but none have yielded any results.
