White Boar Warehouse - Shirai no Miyake

Japanese:
White Boar Warehouse - Shirai no Miyake
A Tonkura established in Kibi Province. According to the Nihon Shoki, during the reign of Emperor Kinmei, Shiroi Tonkura was established in the "Five Counties of Kibi", and later the "Shirai no Tabe no Yohoronofumita" was certified and designated as "Tabe". Oitsu, who was sent for this certification, was given the surname "Shirai no Fuhito" and became a "Taskai" (field official). During the reign of Emperor Bidatsu, Shiroi Tonkura and the fields were increased, and the "Tabe name register" was given to Shiroi no Fuhito. There are various theories about the location of Shiroi Tonkura, and the commonly accepted view is that it was located in Oba County, Mimasaka Province, or in the mountainous area in northern Kibi, but there is also a theory that it is the same as Kojima Tonkura, which is said to have been established in Kojima County, Bizen Province.
