A Mahayana Buddhist scripture. The story is that Queen Sukhma preaches the teachings of Mahayana Buddhism before the Buddha, who accepts them as correct. It is an important scripture that teaches about the potential for Buddhahood (→Tathagatagarbha) that exists in the minds of people who live a deluded life, and also recognizes lay Buddhism. The original Sanskrit text has not been found, but parts of it are quoted in several treatises, so we can know the original form in fragments.
