Large gong - Daishouko
〘Noun〙 (also "taishouko") One of the percussion instruments used in gagaku. It is larger than the tsuriganeko used in kangen music and is used in bugaku. It is about 40 centimeters in diameter and is hung from a stand with a flame on it. The performer stands and strikes it with two sticks . [Gakukaroku (1690)]
