Commercial Statistics - Shogyo Toukei

Japanese: 商業統計 - ショウギョウトウケイ

This is a basic national statistic aimed at grasping the actual state of commerce. It is compiled by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry through the Commercial Statistics Survey.
[Additional information] These statistics are used for planning and implementing distribution-related policies, as basic data for compiling input-output tables and national economic accounts, and as population information for the Commercial Activity Survey. From 2019, they are scheduled to be integrated into the Economic Structure Statistics along with the Industrial Statistics and the Statistics on Specified Service Industries.

[補説]流通関連施策の立案・実施や、産業連関表・国民経済計算の作成の基礎資料、商業動態統計調査などの母集団情報等として利用される。平成31年度（2019）から、工業統計・特定サービス産業実態統計とともに、経済構造統計に統合される予定。
