Kana-zoshi. Author unknown. Published during the Kan'ei era (1624-44). 3 volumes. Available in both old typeset and regular editions. A novel about the rebellion of Toyotomi Hideyoshi's nephew Hidetsugu in 1595 (4th Bunroku year), it describes Hideyoshi's departure to Kyushu, Hidetsugu's misdeeds, his exile to Mount Koya, Hidetsugu's suicide, and the final moments of his 30 or so favorite women. Juraku refers to Jurakudai, and Hidetsugu lived here after Hideyoshi handed over the position of regent to him. The Hidetsugu incident also appears in "Una no Suke." 仮名草子。作者不明。寛永年間(1624‐44)の刊行。3巻。古活字版と整版とがある。1595年(文禄4)の豊臣秀吉の甥秀次の謀反事件をあつかった小説で,秀吉の九州への発向から,秀次の悪逆,高野山への追放,秀次の自殺,その寵愛の女30余人の最期を叙している。聚楽は聚楽第のことで,秀次は秀吉から関白職を譲られてここに住んだので言う。秀次事件は《恨の介》にも出てくる。【野田 寿雄】
