Year of death: Enbun 1/Shohei 11.6.13 (1356.7.11) Year of birth: Enkei 1 (1308) A military commander during the Nanboku-cho period. Son of the Mune clan. Some say he was the son of Iesada, but some family trees state that Mune clan and Iesada were the same person, and that Mune clan changed his name to Iesada. Takatsune was his older brother. Iekane's childhood name was Chiyozurumaru, and he was originally called Tokiie. His official position under the Kenmu government was Shikibu no Jo. In 1337 (Kenmu 4) he was appointed Iyo no Kami, and later Sakyo Gon no Daibu. In 1337 (Kenmu 3) he was dispatched to Wakasa, and in 1351 (Kenmu 3) he became Wakasa Shugo. He was active in Wakasa and Echizen. During the Kan'o Disturbance, he acted on Takauji's side. In 1351 (Kan'o 2) he became Hikitsuke Sanbantojin.
