...In 1929, the German company Franke & Heidecke released a modern twin-lens reflex camera using roll film, which laid the foundation for the new medium-format camera. Also in 1929, the German company Zeiss-Ikon released a 6cm x 9cm roll-film camera. When a button was pressed, the front cover opened with a spring mechanism, and the bellows popped out, making it immediately ready for shooting. This was the beginning of the spring camera that would continue for nearly 20 years. In 1933, the German company Steenbergen (commonly known as Ihage) released the Exakta, which realized the ancient reflex camera using 35mm film, and became the ancestor of today's 35mm single-lens reflex cameras. The so-called 35mm lens-shutter camera, which used 35mm film but had a shutter installed inside the lens (later it was sometimes installed immediately after the lens), reached its heyday after World War II and almost completely replaced the twin-lens reflex cameras that had existed before. ...
