A folktale about a fox who tries to catch fish with his tail but fails. It is also called "The Otter and the Fox." A fox asks an otter how to catch fish. The otter tells him that he can catch fish by dipping the fox's tail in water. The fox, not realizing that he has been tricked, puts his tail in the water. Eventually, the fox's tail freezes, and he is unable to escape and is captured by humans. It is also told as a story about a fox who accepts an invitation from an otter but does not offer a return gift, and the otter's treatment of him, who is outraged by this.
