Japanese: 悉曇蔵 - しったんぞう

Written by the Tendai Buddhist monk An'nen. Eight volumes. Completed in 880. Many manuscripts. A representative work on ancient Siddham, it is a compilation of collected and examined Siddham-related documents from that time. In particular, it regards the Siddham Zhiji by Zhiguang of the Tang dynasty as the orthodox text and follows that line in its writings. It also contains many citations from extant texts, making it an indispensable resource for the study of Chinese and Japanese phonology.

天台宗の学僧，安然 (あんねん) 著。8巻。元慶4 (880) 年成立。写本多数。当時の悉曇関係の文献を収集，検討を加えて集大成した，古代の悉曇研究の代表的なもの。特に，唐の智広 (ちこう) の『悉曇字記』を正統とみなし，その線にそって述べている。逸書からも多数引用されており，中国および日本の音韻研究のうえに欠くことのできない資料である。
