Microindicator

Japanese: 指針測微器 - ししんそくびき（英語表記）microindicator

This is a measuring instrument that magnifies the displacement of a spindle holding a measuring element by mechanisms such as levers, gears, and thin pieces, and expresses it as a deflection of a pointer. It is used for comparative measurements in which the dimensions of a measured object are found as the difference from a standard gauge, as well as for measuring minute displacements. An example of a magnifying mechanism is shown in the figure. Generally, the graduation is 1 μm or 0.2 μm, and the measurement range is ±100 μm to ±20 μm. Some instruments that use twisted thin pieces have a graduation of as high as 0.02 μm. They do not require external energy supply, are compact, and are relatively robust.

測定子をもつスピンドルの変位を，てこ，歯車，薄片などの機構によって拡大し，指針の振れとして表す測定器である。測定物の寸法を標準ゲージからの差として求める比較測定のほか，微小変位の測定にも用いられる。拡大機構の一例を図に示す。一般に目量は1μm，0.2μm，測定範囲は±100μmから±20μmである。ねじり薄片を用いたものでは目量が0.02μmという高感度のものもある。外部からの供給エネルギーを必要とせず，コンパクト，かつわりあいに堅牢である。
